An account of the Civil War experiences of Sören Peterson, a Danish immigrant, later a settler in Shawano County, Wisconsin, as prepared by his son, Dr. Frederick W. Peterson. Peterson served in Company K, 15th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment from Jan. 1864; was a prisoner of war at Andersonville; escaped with the aid of a Confederate soldier but was captured and returned to prison at Charlotte; and soon after escaped again.
